| Toronto Police Officer Charles Sellars
was indicted by the Jefferson County Grand Jury last week on one count of
aggravated burglary, one count of domestic violence, one count of assault,
one count of telecommunications harassment and one count disrupting public
service. Sellars was arraigned on February 3, 2000 by Common Pleas Judge Joseph
Brussese Jr. and entered and innocent plea. Sellars was ordered to stay
off of Rinker Road and away from his ex-wife. His $10,000 bond was continued.
Sellars allegedly broke into his ex-wife's Rinker Road residence on January 3,
threatened and hit his ex-wife's boyfriend and cut the phone lines as
he was leaving. Sellars is under suspension from the Toronto Police
Department with pay awaiting the outcome of his case.
