Hi Scouts
It's a new year.
Sat. January 27 is the Klondike Derby.
We will leave the Church at 7 AM, the cost is $10.00. Don't forget February 4 is Scout Sunday.

Hi Scouts
I apologize for not updating this site.
I will start with the announcement of our open house on Oct. 16. at 6:30
at the North River Avenue Christian Church, 207 N. River Avenue.
Everyone is invited to come and see what scouting involves.
The popcorn sale is now until Oct.23.
There will be a campout on Oct. 28-29 (Haunted Corn Maze)

Feb 14 is the ski trip to boyce park we will meet at the church at 7:30 & the cost is under $20. for lift & ski rentals.
This is a tentative schedule of events
March 26-28 is the camping trip to Old Man's Cave

On April 25 to 27 we are going to the Spring campout.
The cost is $12.00 and we are leaving the Church at 5:00 on Fri.
On May 12 is a Board of Review be in full uniform
On May 23 to 25 we are going backpacking time and Cost TBA.
Summer camp is July 13-19 cost is $130.00.

This is late becaus of an error on the web site.
Popcorn orders are due on Nov. 11
We will be passing out bags for Scouting for Food on Nov. 9.
We will be picking up food bags on Nov.16
We will meet at Yummy's at 9 o'clock on both days
There will be a campout after the food bags are picked up. This will be at Mr. Grimes' house.

Hi Scouts
Well it has been a long time between posts. sorry
Here's what is coming up.
On May 6 is the Board of Review (full uniform)
May 10 - 12 is a camp out. This is going to be a biking weekend. Have your bike checked out before the weekend we go.
May 13 is the Court of Honor. (parents are invited to come)
May 20 is the last day to pay for the June 13-17 canoe trip. The cost is $60.
The cost for summer camp is $130 if paid before June 1st. After June 1st the cost is $145.
The fireworks will be on July 6th this year. We will be helping out again and also cleaning up the stadium on July 7th.

Don't forget a change of clothes for the ride home.
The Court of Honor is cancel for the 28th of Jan.
Skiing for the day at Boyce park is on the 23 of Feb. if no snow we will try to go to tubeing at Hidden Valley.

Hi Scouts
We have a lot of things to do in 2002.
First we have the Nailers Hockey game on January 5th. We will be leaving for the game at 5:30 from the church.
Next we have the Klondike were we get to play in the snow. This will be on Jan.26 the fee is $10 and will be held at Fort Steuben Scout Camp. We will have to be there at 8:30 or 8:45.
Scouts don't forget the Board of Review is on Jan. 21th You must have everything done beforehand to advancement.
Court of Honor is on Jan. 28th.
We will be planning on skiing in Feb. at Boyce park time to be announce later.

Hi Scouts
No meeting on Sept.3 Labor Day.
On Sept.8th and 9th we will be working at the air show out at Winterville airport. We will be leaving the church at 8:00 . If you can't make it to the church, just come out when you can. We will be needing alot of help on this. Uniforms are required.
Sept. 17 is the Board of Review.
Sept. 24 is Court of Honor. Uniforms are required. Parents are encouraged to come. Scouts should be there at 6:30.
Sept.28 to 30th is the Fall Camporee.
$15 is the cost. This is a Council activity. All Districts will be there. This will be at Sally Buffalo Park in Cadiz.

Hi Scouts
On June 9 we are taking a bicycle ride in Akron. This a very scenic trail. Be at the church a little befor 9:00 a.m. for this trip.
All riders will need a helmet, water bottle, a sack lunch, and should also bring spending money for we will be stopping at McDonalds
on the way up and back. Shorts and appropriate shirts should be worn. Bring a rain poncho too
June 18 is the Board of Review. Uniforms should be worn to this meeting.
June 23 we are planning a canoe trip.. The cost for this trip will be $15. Scouts should also bring spending money and a sack lunch,a hat and suntan lotion. They will also need to bring extra clothes for the ride home. Meet at the church at 7:30 a.m.
June 25 is the Court of Honor. Uniforms are required. Parents are encouraged to come. Scouts should be there at 6:30.
July 7 we will work the gates at the city fireworks. We will be collecting money at the gates. Uniforms should be worn. We could use extra help for this event.
July 8 is clean up after the fireworks. This usually takes about 2 hours. Please send your scouts. We will be there around 8:00 a.m.

Hi Scouts
Don't forget that on Monday the 21st we are going to take the canoes out on the river. We will be meeting at the church at 5:30 and going
to Bo's Lighthouse( formerly the River Mist) to put the canoes in the water.. We will be back just befor dark; make arrangements to be picked
up at Bo's Lighthouse. Be sure to bring your lifejackets if you have them. If you don't have one, we have one for you. Be prepared to get wet.

Hi Scouts
With the temperature rising, so will the activities.
The spring camporee is May 4,5,6, with a cost of $13 if paid before April 25. Afterwards it's $15.
Some things are being discussed for weekends in June such as (biking, hiking, and canoeing). Keep in touch
for details.
Summer camp is July 15 -21. $115.00 is the early fee, $130.00 after May 18.
This camp is very important for advancement and merit badges.

Here are some of the things that are coming up.
The campout is going to be at Jefferson State Park on March 30.
Do not forget to check your gear (see post on 9/7/2000).
In April we will hold Derek Flood's Eagle Court Of Honor. All scouts are to be at the church
between 1:00 and 1:15 on Sunday the 8th.

Hi Scouts
Here it is December 13. This year is almost over and it's time too think about next year.
Last weekend sure was a cool campout.
I think we learned some things about winter camping; what to bring and what not to forget.
Don't forget the meeting on the 18th is our Christmas party.
We will supply the pop and pizza.
Wheeling Nailers Vs the Johnstown Chiefs at 7:30 on January 13, 2001. Tickets are $6.00. I have to know
how many are going so I can order them.

Hi Scouts
Some of the things that are coming up are the winter campout on December 8-10.
On January 19-21 is the Klondike Derby. This is always a good time so try and make it.
We are going to have a Board of Review on Jan.22 so Be Prepared.
The Court Of Honor will be on Jan.29 and please tell your parents and grandparents that they are welcome too.
A big congratulations goes out to Derek Flood, our newest Eagle Scout. Good job Derek.

Hi Scouts
First of all I would like to say thank you to Matt and Brenda for making this site possible.
We are in the Ohio River Valley Council Wheeling,WV.
The Council has three districts. Buckeye, Mountaineer, and Two Chiefs district, which is our district.
Our lodge is Onondaga, and our camps are Fort Steuben Scout Reserve and Sandcrest.
Some of the events that Troop 41 has planned for this year are as follows:
Sept. 25- Court of Honor. Parents are encouraged to attend this function.
Oct. 20, 21, and 22 - Fall Camporee.
Nov. 4 - Scouting for Food drop off.
Nov. 11- Scouting for Food pick up.
One other fun event for November is in the planning. This could possibly be a cookout after the food pick up on the 11th.
Dec. 8, 9, and 10 - Winter campout. Band Camp
Remember that these events and times can change, so keep in touch with Gary Hawkins (Scoutmaster) or me.
If there are problems, please do not hesitate to call. This list is also not complete because we like to have some flexibility so we can throw in things like swimming, day trips and weiner roasts.
Meetings still begin at 6:30, but we are there at 6:00 if you would like to come in early to work on advancement or have a problem.
